great for coal ash

a rigid vac with the green filter and a dust bag performs much better than an ashvac at much less coct

NOT HEPA Certified but better than nothing.

Great filter overall. Better than their Fine Dust rated filter. Docked a couple stars as this HEPA Material filter is somewhat misleading as it is not EPA or RRP certified. Meaning not certified as a HEPA filter. HEPA certified filters separate material 0.3 microns in diameter or larger, which is the gold standard. This filter separates to 0.5 microns or larger. Not bad, but not HEPA. Waiting for RIDGID to have the VF8000 HEPA FIlter in stock which meets the specs for HEPA rating.

Hello Trevor619, Thank you for sharing your review. We are sorry for the confusion. Currently, RV2400HF is the only HEPA vacuum in our product line which meets EPA's RRP rule for lead paint removal. The HEPA Filter used for this model is part number HF1000 which also comes with a pre filter.
