Cheap bed for price

The good: This bed actually arrived a few days earlier than expected, which I really appreciated! The assembly instructions were simple enough. I was able to put it together by myself in about two hours. I also liked the price point, it felt like a good deal at first glance. Now for the cons: Unfortunately, the bed came with several factory stains. I ordered the white version, so the stains are very visible and can't be wiped off. The material is wood, but it's quite cheap in quality. The packaging box also arrived damaged and clearly showed signs that someone had been standing on it there were visible footprints. One of the front-facing drawer corners was also damaged. There are visible screw holes all over the bed frame from where the screws were inserted. Usually, companies like Amazon or IKEA include white stickers to cover these for a cleaner appearance, but none were included here. I have my own stickers, but it's still a hassle I wasn't expecting. To be fair, the overall look of the bed and its sturdiness isn't bad—but it feels more like a disposable bed and I don't see it lasting in the long term. Another downside: I have a full-size bed and chose to keep my box spring and mattress. Unfortunately, with that setup, the front headboard is mostly hidden, which is a bit disappointing. Lastly, the box it came in weighs around 100 lbs. After unpacking and inspecting each piece, I realized it wasn't worth the hassle of repacking everything to request an exchange. That said, I was happy to see Walmart's team reached out regarding these issues. I'm still waiting to hear whether they'll offer a refund or discount. Overall, a mixed experience, some positives, but I'm left feeling a bit disappointed.
