I bought this coat to wear on a recent trip to the Christmas markets on the Rhine River. The temperatures were in the 30s and 40s. Several very windy days created wind chill temperatures in the 20s. I purposely purchased this long jacket for extra warmth, especially on my legs. Most of the other people in the group were freezing. However, this coat kept me warm. The hood has two snaps that close in front of the neck, and there was enough room to put it up over my ski hat. The burgundy color is beautiful, and I received many compliments on it. I also liked the two deep zipper pockets located on the sides. They gave me easy access to my phone for photos, without fear of losing it. It rained a couple days, but the water stayed on the coat's surface, and did not soak through.
