Ricoh iX1300 Wireless Duplex Color Document Scanner

This was a replacement order for a type of scanner we use for work. It's very fast, dependable, easy to set up, (we even use it wirelessly in one location) I don't like the auto update feature, it generates a lot of requests to update in our deployment, but other than that the scanner is very useful. I wanted to write a review about Walmart.com's part - First, there was approximately a $50 savings compared to other online outlets. (significant for a $300 item) Also the delivery came 3 days early. I purchased the Ricoh ScanSnap iX1300 because the old iX500 would no longer work after Apple's most recent OS update. The old one still works like new, but not on my Mac. I'm so glad I bought the new one! Set up took 5 minutes, including downloading the app and learning the nuances of the new machine. I use it wirelessly, but it can be connected, as well. It is slim and sleek on my desk, opens easily, contains completed scans without shooting them across the room (automatic document feeder with a "U-turn" path). It accommodates odd things like credit cards, brochures, passports and the like in a front-feed slot. It's fast (scans 20-page documents quickly and is capable of scanning about 30 pages per minute) and it's quiet. The app is as simple or as complex as you want it to be. I typically scan directly to folders, which it does with little effort. I love this little time-saver! I only wish I had bought it sooner!
