This is a multi cutting tool/saw. You can cut just about anything with it. Things like metal and wood could be cut with this. One of its uses is to cut around door jams when sawing laminate flooring. It comes with a cut guide which allows you to accurately cut along the marked cut line which is a nice feature. It also has a depth guide which is used so that you don't over cut things.
