Nothing to dislike. I bought these in place of wired because I'm getting too old to go up a ladder to replace the battery. They are sitting on my ceilings held up with Scott's outdoor tape. Hopefully, I will never have to find out whether or not they really work. That's why I only gave them 4 stars. The test button works, but I don't know if they work from a fire.

These are old units. The date on the back is 2021 - meaning my 10 year battery is now a 7 year battery. Also the unit was already on (although the package was sealed).

Hi GP, this detector has 10 years of warranty that starts at the date of initial retail purchase (not the date of manufacture), so you are covered for the full duration of the alarm's warranty period. We recommend you keeping a copy of the proof of purchase. After an alarm is turned on for the first time, it should last 10 years in normal operating conditions.
