My mother loves spinach and at 82 years old it has a lot of the nutrition and other benefits she needs. Spinach has pretty much disappeared from the store shelves, at least in our area. This size can gives her a serving of spinach every day for a month. It is a little more work for me, (dividing and freezing etc.) but it is well worth it. P.S. The Great Value Snack bags are perfect for dividing it into 1/2 cup servings. They're not freezer bags but they still do the trick for as little time as it spends in the freezer. I take 1 out each day for the next days serving.

Great big can of spinach

Plenty of spinach if you like it that is, even Popeye the sailor man himself would be full. These are well cooked so there a little bit soft and mussy. If your adding it to dish it just needs to be heated, unless your making baked casserole or something, or as a filling, some would say there overcooked but then again most canned goods are. Don't throw the liquid away, some would call it's nector from a can, thats why steam veggie is better than boiled veggies throwing the nutrients down the drain.

Great tasting money saving spinach

This is the best way to buy great tasting spinach and save money. I partially open the can in two opposite places. I then turn the can over in the sink and forget about it. The weight of the spinich squeezes the liquid out. I then open the can the rest of the way and divide it into containers placed in the refridgerator. It keeps very nicely.
