These 3K carbon poles are really sweet, lightweight, comfortable and very stable. They look really sharp and have many options, they are just an affordable option to the high dollar Trekking Poles. I only like the straight up and down trails or I get board-ha ha. I like the cork handles myself really well and those EVA grip extensions for going up hills a lot I do not have to adjust the pole all the time.... If I had to just have just one pair I would try and get these Cascade Mountain Tech 3K Carbon Fiber. On the inside of the strap there is a little felt lining on the straps, for the straps length to be able to be adjusted the lining or padding cannot cover the entire inside as it would become too thick to slide in and out of the handle when tightening and losing the strap. It does cover enough to protect your hand and wrist for myself though. They also have some reflective material on the wrist strap and a piece of reflective tape on the pole just below the extended hand grip.
