Over 30 years ago, a colleague gave me one of these for Christmas. He said, "It doesn't look like it would make that much of a difference, but it does.". I still have mine and use it every day when I sit in a chair to prevent back soreness. When my husband complained about his back being sore after sitting several hours, I looked for it and was delighted to see that it is still being sold. I got him one and no more back soreness! It self inflates to about an inch, then you squeeze it to the best thickness for you, which is pretty thin, to get good lower back support. It's great for long car trips, too.
