HOOK & LOOP SANDING PAD

After reading the other reviews I had to give my opinion on this item. I just bought the Dremel Multi-Max tool specifically to do a sanding job on our front porch for the areas that could not be done by my other sanders. First I would like to say that so far it has done a fantastic job and the sanding pad and paper have held up better then I expected. If the other people that are reviewing this item were using this tool as it was intended they would find that it does the job quite well. I have see that it does not take a lot of pressure to make this sanding tool remove material quickly but if you force to much pressure on any of the points of the pad you will damage it sooner rather then later. I have been sanding with it for the last 3 days giving it a healthy work out and have seen no sign of wear on any part of the hook & loop part of the sanding pad. It is not made for heavy sanding but it will do a great job of getting into those tight areas that other sanders can not. Just don't beat it up and it will last a long time if used properly.

DIY Masterpiece

For the small detail cuts and manipulation needed on just about any construction job or home project, this is the tool for it. I just can't find replacement sanding heads in the stores!! I'm a contractor, with a BS in construction management and an MBA. I run a contracting company and purchased this for convenience and for some custom closets I was building in my home. I LOVE the sander. This is not intended to be a palm sander or a belt sander, or any other sander. This is for project use and probably not for several hours straight. Yes, after some serious use, the corners are wearing out. But, it still holds the paper to the equipment and still sands and clears off dried glue. If you are a sensitive, demanding priss, this product is not for you. If you take pride in making things with your hands and the convenience and dexterity of this tool and its attachments, it is a great buy. You should consider that all attachments to this tool are replaceable. Just like a saw blade, expect to need replacement parts but expect the same flexibility and convenience each time.
