I've owned larger and far better printers that cost a lot. But now I just wanted a little guy to print occasional pages. This printer does a fine job and is also a very decent color printer if you want a casual copy of a photo etc.

Got this because my old one stopped working. Takes a little to learn how to operate but it kept jamming the paper that I tried to scan through the feeder - it's brand new and felt like the feeder should be a little bit wider or something.

Fine for occasional use. not for office/production
It's certainly a "budget" option, but it lacks a lot of features including duplex printing and adequate blank paper tray. You can't put more than 50-60 blank pages of paper in the printer and they hang off the back of the printer. It's pretty quick printing black & white, but colors take a long time. It's worth mentioning that the total cost of the printer with cartridges (allegedly full) is less than a full set of replacement cartridges. All and all this would be okay for a casual use printer, but is far from adequate for any extensive use as the ink alone will eat you alive.
