Super durable with kids but is not APBT resistant. (Duhhh). My dog chewed off the nose and this was my daughter's favorite toy. It's super soft and the buttons are made of a durable but cushioned plastic so it's okay for kids as little as a year but only if they do not chew on the buttons. They do hold up well and are attached well but teeth are sharp. The fur on the care bear is soft and smooth, and my daughter likes to run her fingers through it, and the colors are nice and bold so it's easy to find even in the dark. Definitely recommend and definitely well made
