Very nice lens at a good price

I like it a lot. Has quick auto-focus, and you can use manual focus even when in auto-focus setting. Has no fringing. Has tack-sharp clarity of optics, so I can crop things shot at 250 mm and they look better than uncropped shots did with my old 300 mm lens from a different manufacturer.

I love this lens it gives you a clear focus and shape detail. I did a little research before buying a 55-250 mm lens and I'm glad I went with this lens I wouldn't buy this lens unless it has the IS because it really makes a different in the sharp detail of your images.

I bought this and it was reduced in price. It is brand new, in box, complete with Canon warranty. It is a good quality lens for the price and I am quite pleased. For a detailed review you can seek out reviews from professionals, but they will all say this is a fine lens for its purpose and price point. Of course you can spend $1000's, but as a novice, this is a highly rated lens.
