Would have been perfect....except

I've been looking for a pair of nightstands to match my Shaker-style bureaus. I saw these Camaflexi nightstands, in the Cherry finish, and they matched perfectly! I was very happy to find them. However, upon delivery, I discovered that the saw kerf in the top of the stand, shown in the Hayneedle photo, was not there. That was the main reason for my purchase. All the other Shaker nightstands that were a close enough match, did not have the saw kerf on the top. The finish was an excellent match, the style was a perfect match.....but not the top piece. I decided to create the kerf myself, but that took some time, both in creating the kerf and then getting a good color match inside the kerf. The photo on the Hayneedle site needs to be corrected. It was disappointing. (There was another review written the day I purchased my set of two...did not see it in time.) Construction was easy, and the nightstand is sturdy. No other issues. Would have given this an easy 5 stars. If you don't have the tools to create the saw kerf in the top, and it is important to you, don't buy this nightstand.

Not as pictured

I specifically bought this night stand for two reasons. The color and style of the piece. The color is exactly what is pictured and I expected. The style is similar but not what is pictured or that I expected. In the picture the top has distinct shaker style grooves routed in it. The night stand I received has a completed smooth top, which does not match the furniture that is being paired with. I am very disappointed in what received.
