The Standard CAP Barbell Weightlifting Bar is a nice addition to your own home gym. It is very simple to use for a wide variety of movements. This 5-foot weightlifting bar is the answer for those who would rather work out in the comfort of home with their own equipment. No longer do you have to wipe someone else's sweat from the things you're using. The weight lifting bar is made of solid steel and has a black oxide finish for long life. This cuts back on wear and tear caused by repeated use over time. It is built to fit all plates with 1-inch holes. Plus, it allows you to perform a number of workouts including arm, chest, back, leg and core exercises. The threaded ends provide a safe alternative to traditional collars. Not really sure why everyone gave this such a poor rating. Maybe they don't know how to use a hammer? Anyhow, I'm glad the reviews didn't disuade me from purchasing this. It is great, sturdy enough from what I have used it for, and is long enough on the ends for plenty of plates. I've had no issues so far. Not bad at all, especially when you're living in the age of covid and you can't find any weight lifting equipment anywhere. But with all this said, I'm not a novice weight lifter... so perhaps that's where I differ. If you're on the fence about this, you won't go wrong. But make sure you know this is a standard bar, so your weight plates will need to be standard sizes as well (1" diameter holes).
