CAP Barbell Olympic Weight Set, 110 lbs.

This is an excellent value for your money! Two 25lb plates alone would be half the price of this set! The only downside is - on some of the plates, there might be some imperfections on finish [some spots missing protective coating (I hope it doesn't rust in the long run as a result), on some plates there are "drips" of coating, rough edges on some edges of plates]. These don't bother me enough to exchange; they still serve their purpose well. Also note, in the instructions to put the barbell together - they want you to use a rubber mallet to drive the 4 little "tapered" metal cylinders to join the 3 pieces of barbell together. I had the absolute hardest time getting them to even go a little bit in with the rubber mallet; they were going nowhere, even though i ensured the tapered end was inserted. I was seriously considering contacting the manufacturer to replace what could possibly be defective pieces. However, after much frustration, I resorted to using a hammer and it worked just fine (with still a lot of effort)! I was just careful about not banging the hammer into the bar itself. So that's my tip for anyone that has the same difficulty!

Nice starter set! I workout every other day with this as part of a lifting routine. I'm happy with it and will get some additional weights soon. The empty bar weighs 30lbs so be ready for that.
