Spire 30" Hood, 600 CFM Blower, 9" High

I was looking for a range hood in this style that wasn't too loud but that had good CFM's. This one pretty much meets those requirements. The high setting is quite loud but the lower settings are fairly efficient. It scratches easily though......got scratched during installation.

I bought this and had it installed in April 2019. 1 year warranty, and worked fine until prior to 2 year anniversary. The left fan started hitting the metal encasement, but only at two highest speeds. I had repair person from the store where I purchased visit, but was told it would cost more to repair than to buy a new one! Since it was still quiet on lowest speed, we just only used lowest speed. Now low speed also rattles against the metal encasement. If I push up on the bottom facing plate, it rubs so hard that the fan will stop rotating. If I pull down on bottom metal plate, the noise will diminish but is still there. Seems obvious that the fan is out of allignment, causing it to rattle agains bottom plate. Due to noice, it is now unusable. I wish I'd been more assertive when the problem first appeared, even though it was already out of warranty. Poor quality product, IMO.
