Broan-Nutone BKDB136WW 36 in. 250 CFM Sahale Range Hood, White

We purchased this Stainless Steel Broan Model #BCD136SS to replace an old built-in microwave above our range that finally died. We initially were going to replace the microwave with a new one, but we quickly learned that 36" microwaves are no longer available. So instead we decided to put a range hood above our stove and nix the microwave altogether. So glad we went this route! The appearance of the hood gave our kitchen an updated look. This hood is classy looking. We like it because of its simplicity, it's sleek lines, and no big name logo's staring you in the face when you look at it. It's super easy to clean, very streamlined with no cracks and crevices for grease to collect in. Installation was very easy, common sense stuff. The fan speeds are great! We can barely hear the first speed, the second and third speeds are also quiet. The Led light is amazing! It lights up the whole work surface and then some! It's a perfect color light too, not obnoxious. It has a low setting light and a high setting light. We like keeping the low light on just for extra light in the kitchen. Filters are super easy to install and remove. We like that this is a straight forward, easy to use unit, it doesn't have all the electronics, bells and whistles, and computerized gadgets that make it difficult to operate. We love the simplicity of it. We are so happy we chose this model, it works for us! My only concern was when it arrived, it came in a box that had super great padded corners, but no padding what so ever on the sides of the box, when we opened the box we held our breaths praying that nothing had been rammed into the side of the box during transit We lucked out! But we could see this could be a potential problem.
