Sounds like a revved up motorcycle in the bathroom. Heater stopped working. I would not have another Broan in my home.

Sounds like a jet engine
This was installed in my new house, and I used it for a total of about 30 seconds. It is so noisy when either the fan or the heat lamp is on that I can't hear myself think. The flapper on the exhaust outlet bangs so loudly and constantly any time the wind is above 5 mph that I had to stuff a sheet in the roof vent after the first night of living in the house. That kept any wind from getting to the flapper. The flapper is not accessible without removing the entire unit from the ceiling.
