Brinks Commercial Oil Rubbed Bronze Steel Hydraulic Door Closer Grade 1

I meant to install this closer at a small, old storage unit complex in a small countryside town. It is a problem where the entrance door is accessed only a few time a week. I have had issues with local pets (cats and dogs) finding their way into the building unbeknownst to those accessing the building, and risk getting locked in for potentially several days. I was upset when I went to install this unit and opened the box to find that there were no English instructions. I had removed the English version at home with the intent to study but got distracted didn't study them , nor put them back. There were French and Spanish versions. I was an hour away from home so I continued. Luckily the drawings were very helpful, and the installation was intuitive. I was very surprised that I had it installed in 15 minutes, and after a few more minutes of adjustments the door was working perfectly. I didn't install the cover as I don't need it for my application, but I should note the cover is made of plastic and not metal as I first assumed. I was impressed with how solid the the feel of the final product once installed. All necessary installation parts were included for installation in wood or metal doors, security through-the-door bolts, and even included the allen wrench needed.

Very well made heavy duty I've installed quite a few of these working in maintenance department. I have a very heavy security door on my residence and I thought this would be just right since the piston door closers only last me about a year. So I thought I would try a commercial closer but the frame on my door is too small to accommodate the unit unless I have the mounting bracket welded to the door. Which I will try as soon as I buy a new welder. Once that happens I see no problem attaching the unit and by seeing how well it's made I'm sure it will last for years.
