Bridgevine Home Essex 24 inch Side Table, No Assembly Required, Black and Whiskey Finish

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. We got this table in the darker wood finish and it honestly look rather nice. At first, we thought it was real, solid wood, but of course it's a laminated composite. Still, at first glance it looks real enough. The unit is nearly a perfect cube: 2' x2' x2'. Honestly, that can make it a little awkward to place in a small to medium-sized room. The pics have this used as an end table connecting two perpendicularly placed sofas. that would be ideal IF you have a space large enough to sit this piece without the area looking cluttered. For my space it makes the area connecting my couches (90° from each other) feel really claustrophobic. Maybe it it wasn't cubed? We planned on using it as a center piece coffee table and it works well enough for the room we have now. The lower joinery makes it look a little out of place as a center piece.
