This is very sturdy and easy to put up. I didn't use the device it came with to put into the ground as I have a pole I just slid it over. My last one had the arms collapse when I hung sheets out on a windy day. This has very sturdy arms and the holes the line threads through is protected so the line doesn't wear from friction
