Yamaha A-S301 Integrated Amplifier (Black)

This unit powers a vintage second system in my house. It is very flexible: it has a MM phono input, which sounds very good, it has a coax input for a blue tooth streamer receiver ( which also accepts optical input, unheard of at the price point). It allows two sets of stereo speakers, which lets me pump sound into my kitchen or my living room, or BOTH, with the speaker select knob that offers A,B, or both at the same time. Speaker wire termination at the rear allows for old fashioned bare wire or, in my case, banana plugs that made it so much easier to hook up. Power rating is sufficient for my 8 or 4 ohm speakers that I have in place. Tone defeat and loudness adjustments are useless, marketing nonsense. Boost your treble and bass as needed, and that's all you need to do. The remote is icing on the cake. I used to have vintage integrated amps for years. But the pots are always dirty and scratchy, and wiring would cut off intermittently from the speaker terminals. I took the plunge on this A-s301 and it's been running constantly with no issues. I would highly recommend this integrated amp.
