Will the fold creases ever

Will the fold creases ever lay down? We have it under a dining table with a 1/4" felt rug pad. It's "ok" but not impressive at all. The design is lovely. Colors are lovely. The orange color looks great with my oak floors. But I expected something a little bit heavier. This will forever bunch up under the dining chairs. And the rug instantly caused my feet to feel dirty.
