Instructions
Boil - From Ambient **Basic Cooking Instructions **If desired, toast couscous in 1 tablespoon butter or oil for 3-5 minutes over medium heat before cooking. Bring 1 1/2 cups water to a boil. Add 1 cup pearl couscous and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Return to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain off any remaining water. Makes 3 servings.

Roast the Couscous before Boiling for Great Taste
First of all I need to mention Anna Finch, your customer support representative. She is the very BEST at customer service and is a great person to have on the front line! After some experimentation, what worked best for me was an equal ratio of chicken broth and couscous. The most important step I discovered is to roast the couscous in olive oil for 3-5 minutes before adding it to the boiling water. Had it last night and it tasted great! Thank you and I will be ordering this again. Bruce

Amazing flavor!
I always preferred the taste of whole wheat/grains, but the Pearl Couscous from Bob's Red Mill has an incredibly delicious flavor! It simply elevates the flavors of every recipe I tried (but works best with fish, seafood, Mediterranean spices, roasted veggies). It cooks very fast (I can have dinner ready in 30 minutes, including cooling time), but it's also quite easy to overcook it and get mushy grains; cooked using the package instructions, you get the perfect chewy texture.

Great whole wheat couscous
I have struggled to find whole wheat couscous at any of my regular grocery stores so I was incredibly excited to find these on the website! Taste is good and it's exactly what I was looking for.
