Something different for dinner

I cut up 1 lb. pork steak into pieces, stir fry until browned in oil and then pour 2 cups water over, boil and turn down to simmer for 45 min. When meat is tender, add chop suey veg and add 2Tbs corn starch that was mixed or shaken in water and pour into chop suey while stirring. Serve over rice. YUM

not a sauce filled can but nice veggies

O yes these are good quickies. Not saucy filled cans but pure veggies and goodies. We put over rice and topped with the lachoy hard crunchy noodles. Used instant rice for a meal in a minute- I did the night before mariante some chunky chicken. All was complete in less than ten minutes.

Easy and Good!

I order a lot of my food from Walmart.com or for delivery from my local store. Every month I try 2 or 3 new items to see if they will fit my needs well. I tried these canned La Choy vegetables for the first time, this month. I'd never tried these for anything before. This is a really great product!! Vegetables - the kinds you expect in stir fry - in very thin broth - maybe water, I'm not sure - and very simple. I love them. I don't do "Chinese cooking". But no problem! These are so good because I feel like I'm getting a very healthy new item in my diet. I'm a retired bachelor. I cook some, and I'm decent at it, too. But I like convenience also because there are ️many days when I just don't want to cook. I tried several other items during my first couple of months ordering from Walmart - average shelf-stable things you normally think of. But I found out quickly that some of my favorite products are not good for regular consumption, because of things like sodium content, calorie count, etc. - you know, health conscious needs that we all have. So I've been trying the last couple of months to find good things that will fill me up for a reasonable cost, and also be healthier than some of the things I bought previously. Of course, I still buy some of the other things that I like, but now I have a new option that I really like is. I can eat a can of these, right out of the can, for a simple, quick lunch, or even just for an afternoon snack. Or I can put it with some other ingredients to make something a little more involved. Today I made East-West Gazpacho for lunch: 1 can La Choy Stir Fry Vegetables, 1 14-oz can Bush's Best cannellini beans rinsed and drained, 1 14-oz can Hunt's diced tomatoes, 1 8-oz can Hunt's tomato sauce, and salt to taste. It was awesome!! Of course additional ingredients could be added or substituted also. Give this a try. I bet you'll like it.
