I can't believe I'm saying this but this cookie jar -out of all of the jars I've purchased in the past -is by far the best. The seal is just tight enough so as not to fight over removing it from the base. My grandchildren can get into them, but the cookies stay fresh continuously. The size is great and I highly recommend this for quality, price and especially for the ease of use for my family.
