InSinkErator Badger 5 1/2 HP Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal with Power Cord

Watched several YouTube videos and had no problem replacing leaky Model 5 disposer with this new one. I used a car jack to lift the new disposer into position. It is not real heavy but was awkward for me to lift with one hand and position with other. Very easy to connect the plumbing. This may be my first plumbing job I have done that didn't leak.

My old Garbage Disposal stopped working after 25 years. Initially I wanted to call a plumber to replace it, but I decided to do it myself. My old Garbage Disposal was an InSinkErator BADGER 5 and I taught after 25 years it is not available any more, but I found out that Walmart carries the exact model for less than $100.00. The connections to my old sink, my old dishwasher, and my old plumbing were exactly the same, so it was easy to install it without modifying the insisting plumbing configuration. It camewith everything except the power cord and I used the old power cord from my old garbage disposal. The installation instructions were clear and helped me to install it quickly. I just save $300 not calling a plumber.
