Sounds great for what it is

It sounds great for a shallow mount sub. If you expect it to sound like a normal 10" sub you'll be disappointed. Shallow mounts just can't sound the same. This is a great speaker that added some much needed bass in my 2010 F-150 super crew. With a custom box it fits great under the seat and doesn't compromise leg room. The box cutout for this speaker is 9 3/4"so if your repurposing a box it will probably need some modification.

Amazing!

Running this single 10" Pioneer subwoofer and all four doors(Alpine coaxials)in a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee,with Pioneer D9605 5-channel amp and is screaming loud! Most listeners ask if there's two 12's or two 15's in the back! Built a custom, removable, fiberglass enclosure of about exactly 1cu.ft. internal dimensions. Fiberglass non-permanent box is shaped to plastic on rear drivers side of "trunk" area leaving spare tire still accessible. Amp is mounted in cubby hole area above spare tire but below top carpet in "trunk area" so system looks stealth and still looks stock, but definitely doesn't sound stock anymore! I usually spend three times more at least on quality subwoofers like this Pioneer sounds but still under $100.00 easy shipped!!
