I wanted my daughter, who loves Taylor Swift, to know about Joni Mitchell, who Swift herself credits as a great influence on her music. “Blue” is arguably Mitchell's greatest album, and it was great listening to it after so many years. Mitchell bares her soul in this album which was recorded while she was dating James Taylor. Ironically, Taylor Swift is named after James Taylor. The cd arrived promptly and in excellent condition, and the sound quality was great. My daughter has a new appreciation for those who came before and influenced her favorite singer. This experiment was a win-win for everyone!

‘Joni, again and still'

Blue is a masterpiece. Joni Mitchell gives the listeners an amazing musical experience. Blue is filled with emotion, lyrics that just make you ask, ‘how did she come up with that?' The lyrics seem so personal to her, but you feel as some of them could be your very own. I first listened to it in the early 70's and it all still seems relevant today. I'm so glad to see the attention her music has seen in recent times. This generation deserves a chance to enjoy her musical gift.
