Novel Protein that is Grain-Free
Our dog loves this food and it is a critical part of managing his disease. This food is essential for dogs who require a novel, low fat protein that is also grain free. For the humans who will prepare the food - the fish smell is pretty intense and the food is very dense. The texture and weight remind me of clay.. Our dog is 80 lbs (Akbash Dog - like a Great Pyrenees with short hair), so he gets about 4 cans a day. To prepare it, we add 1 to 1.5 cans of water, throw his medicine in and mix it together. Use a blender if you lack time or patience, or the smell grabs you. The smell does not linger once the food is consumed. Most important - our dog really loves this food and its a big part of making and keeping him well.

How my dog is doing on this diet
My dog is 15 years old and was diagnosed with sabacious Adenitis and atopic dermatitis 5 years ago. Her skin was so inflamed,itchy and yeasty. She has been on this diet for a year now and her symptoms have just about disappeared. I will be keeping her on this for the rest of her life. She is a very picky eater. Would normally only tolerate a diet change for a week and then refuse to eat. She has not refused this since we started.
