For best results the white mat shouldn’t be visible under the soil. 6. Soak the mat area entirely (preferably using a hose with a fine spray) until the area is saturated with water. Continue to keep the mat area moist for a few weeks until the plants are established (3-5” high). CHECK DAILY to be sure the top 1” of soil is moist.
