Instructions
You will need: 1 cup water 1/3 cup butter, softened 3 eggs Time to Bake! 1. Heat oven to 350degF for shiny metal or glass pan or 325degF for dark or nonstick pan. Grease bottom only of a 13" x 9" pan or the bottom and sides of all other pans. 2. Mix Cake Mix, water, butter and eggs in large bowl with mixer on medium speed or beat vigorously by hand 2 minutes. Pour into pan. 3. Bake as directed in chart or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely before frosting. For 13" x 9" pan, bake 30-35 minutes. For two 8" round pans, bake 30-35 minutes. For two 9" round pans, bake 25-30 minutes. For a Bundt(r) pan, bake 44-49 minutes. For cupcakes (makes 24), bake 14-19 minutes. Heat oven to 375degF for shiny metal pan or 350degF for dark or nonstick pan. Spoon batter into cups (about 3 Tbsp. each).

Betty Crocker makes a great cake / brownie mix. Too bad WalMart does not know how to package items. Laundry detergent leaked (was not in a plastic bag) and saturated both boxes of cake mix. WalMart needs to go belly up!!!!

Betty Crocker Cake Mix is the best of the mixes
Betty Crocker Cake Mix does not have SUGAR as the first ingredient. Flour is first and sugar is second. Of the regular brands Betty Crocker is the only one I can find that sugar is not the FIRST ingredient. Before covid when I went to Trader Joe's they had cake mixes that were healthier. Until I can get back to Trander Joe's I will use Betty Croker for my cake mixes. I have been making dump cakes from The Cake Mix Doctor Cookbook that Walmart.com carries at a good price for new and they are quite good. If you get this book be sure and notice that this was when cake mixes were 18.25 oz. We must add 3 oz of flour to the cake mix for the cakes to turn out properly. You can also goggle this if you don't measure by weight for the cup measurement which I believe is 1/3-1/2 cup. Out of the box, fantastic!
I love that this recipe uses butter because it makes a huge difference in texture and flavor over oil. I baked this as a pineapple upside down cake, crumb was very light and a very outward buttery flavor. These mixes are slept on and so underrated. Will buy again!
