Bestcare PL182 Full Electric Patient Lift 400lb

Prior to purchase I read most of the reviews about many different Lifts. I also played videos about lifts and did comparisons between various lift products. The BestLift PL182 seemed the best fit for our needs. One critical thing I did not learn prior to purchase - these lifts are not designed for use on carpeting. All the documentation, user reviews, and videos demonstrating the use of these lifts fail to mention this important fact. I cannot roll the occupied lift weighing 250 pounds (100 pound lift plus 140 pound wife) on our carpet On a hard surface I could transfer my wife from a lounge chair to the Lift , move the lift to the bed and transfer her from the lift to the bed. On carpeting, to get my wife from a lounge chair in the living room to the bed in a separate room I roll the empty lift to the lounge chair, transfer her onto the lift, transfer her from the lift to a wheelchair, roll the wheelchair to the bed, roll the empty lift to the bed, transfer her from the wheelchair to the lift, then using the lift place her onto the bed. Bestcare should inform readers that the lift is not designed for use on carpets and the difficulties one will encounter when carpeting is involved.
