I am not a health practitioner and can only say that at the first sign of a cold or flu I take the recommended dosage of echinacea along with vitamin C. It helps to nip the ailment at the bud. I also use if I get an infection as I read that echinacea is a natural antibiotic . These pills are capsules and easy to swallow . No unpleasant odor when you open the bottle. Maybe it's all in my head but I think echinacea works and is worth trying. .
