I bought five of the Hit Stick as soon as I heard about them. Can't wait to use them. Have a private fish camp in Quebec where the walleye fishing is spectacular. I know this lure will absolutely "slay" them as soon as they open the border. Dang Covid-19! Really looking forward to going fishing again.

My new go to lure for wader fishing

I bought a couple of the new Hit Sticks in size #11 to give them a try at wader fishing at night. After using my favorite go to bait and color without much success, I switched to a Hit Stick in the Danold color. I ended up with 9 walleyes that night between 20”-26”. Many were caught with a slow, steady retrieve. But with a pause, these lures have a slow rise and that produced some fish as well. They have the advantage of being able to be fished over the top of the weeds. When you feel the tick on the top of the weeds, simply pause long enough for the lure to rise above the weeds and then continue your slow retrieve. Needless to say, I went back and stocked up on several more colors. Never before has a lure so quickly become my “go to bait”!
