Boil: Cooking Directions: Stovetop method 1. Combine rice and water in a saucepan. 2. Bring to a full boil, reduce heat (medium-low to medium) and simmer covered for 20 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. Let stand covered 5 minutes until water is absorbed. fluff with fork and serve. To make 2 servings (cups of cooked rice), use 1/2 cup rice, 1-1/3 cups water. To make 4 servings (cups of cooked rice), use 1 cup rice, 2-1/4 cups water. To make 6 servings (cups of cooked rice), use 1-1/2 cups rice, 3-1/3 cups water. To make 12 servings (cups of cooked rice), use 3 cups rice, 6 cups water. For best results: ��� For firmer rice, use less water and reduce cooking time. ��� For softer rice, use more water and increase cooking time. ��� To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking.
