First time trying period underwear. Nothing to compare them to, but wasn't impressed. Biggest problem was cleaning them. Specifically got them because it says they're machine washable, but they were still visibly dirty after being washed in the machine, even though I threw them in the machine the same day I wore them. Maybe they require handwashing first, idk.
