good value easy to adjust using the cams

bought this for my sons 12th birthday and he loves it. i like the adjustable cam system so it will last a good long time as he grows and gets stronger. we did put on a whisker biscuit and better sights and replaced the heavy aluminum arrows with some very light, fast and straight flying carbon arrows.

Great compound bow

This is a straight shooting bow. Other than the arrow rest being broke out of the package, ( got a whisker biscuit, and now it is perfect), it is a good beginner bow for target and hunting. My daughter takes archery lessons, so now I can shoot with her .

Great youth/women's bow

I bought this bow for my wife's birthday, as she's been wanting to try out this hobby for quite some time. I received the shipment within a week, and got the best price I could find online at the Wal-Mart website. Everything was received as expected. The quality of the bow is great. The draw length is easily adjustable if the string is left on the neutral post - although changing to the "+" or "-" posts requires a bow press. If you have a young archer that will be growing in the next five years, the "modules" that come with the bow allow you to adjust the draw length. The instructions in the package aren't very clear, but basically the module increases the length of contact of the bow string on the cam, which reduces the available length of string to draw back. The let-off on higher-value bows is much greater. This bow has about a 50-60% let-off, while higher-value bows can reach the 80-90% range; however, keep in mind this bow isn't a Matthews. For the money, I'm highly impressed with the product. It seems durable and has shot great so far. The only reason I didn't give the bow an "Excellent" on value is the accessories. Do yourself a favor, and don't even bother with the arrow rest that comes with the package. Just go buy a whisker biscuit or similar product - I also had the technician put a peep sight in the string (they gave us the peep site for free, since it was taken off a new model bow that the buyer wanted a different peep site on, but if you have to pay they're only about $10). Keep in mind the bow is not ready to shoot out of the package. You will need to take it to a sporting goods store and have the nocking point attached to the string. We took the bow to Bass Pro Shop and had them set it up for us. Once the tech's added the whisker biscuit ($40), cut some new arrows for us ($40), and aligned the nocking point, they showed us to the range and the bow shot great. Of course, the sites needed to be adjusted, but that is expected as the sites will vary with the draw length and weight. Overall, I'm impressed with the bow. It gives young shooters and smaller female shooters a great starting point into archery, and the quality is much greater than anything I found for under $100. I don't expect my wife's draw weight to exceed 45 lbs, so I believe the bow will easily last 5-10 years if cared for properly. Just expect to spend another $100 on arrows, whisker biscuit, peep site, and release - however, if that sounds frustrating, just keep in mind that even top of the line bows don't generally come with all of the accessories.
