(8 pack) Barilla Gluten Free Penne Pasta, 12 oz

I have IBS, so the egg and rice flour concoction is about as close to regular pasta as you can get. It's a little chewier than the real pasta, but outside of that, it's not bad at all. With this malady, I am not going to get any better, but Barilla did a tremendous job of crafting the product with good taste and consistency.

While I appreciate the quality and necessity of this product for individuals with celiac disease, particularly my son, I do find the price point to be a consideration compared to conventional pasta. Given my demanding schedule as a parent of three teenagers, managing their schooling, caring for animals, and working, the option of preparing homemade pasta is not feasible. Therefore, this product is essential. Occasional promotional offers or coupons would be a welcome addition. I can attest that the taste of this pasta is comparable to traditional varieties. When incorporated into sauces or family recipes, such as a cherished pasta salad, it is indistinguishable from regular pasta. My son, who exhibits a high sensitivity to even trace amounts of gluten, including oats, has experienced adverse reactions to other products labeled "gluten-free" or "certified gluten-free." However, Barilla's gluten-free pasta consistently proves to be a safe and reliable option for him.
