Barbie in a wheelchair
This Barbie was a lovely item to review. It was packaged nicely and easy enough to get out. Scissors were needed to clip the little bit of plastic attaching the doll to the cardboard. Barbie comes attatched to the wheelchair but is easily removed by snipping the elastics. She has sunglasses which stay on her head but not on her face,would stay on though if elastics weren't cut,and a watch on her wrist that also stays in place. Barbies arms feel a bit stiff when you attempt to bend them but they do bend. Hands rotate to hold on to the wheels. The features of the wheelchair are impressive,barbie can be held in place by a plastic clip around her back and removed simply by gently pulling her out,the wheels turn completley and there is a lock on each side to keep it still. It even comes with a ramp which is fab!

Kudos to Mattel for the realistic wheelchair! My four year old daughter absolutely loves racing her Barbie Fashionista in it, and asked a few questions about why Barbie needed a wheelchair, which I was glad to answer. The Barbie doll had a gorgeous outfit on with cold shoulder detail to the top and funky jeans and trainers. Her joints move so well too. Very impressed with the doll and accessories.

I am very happy with this product. I will start with the diversity and inclusive message this product sends. Normalising disability and breaking down barriers is crucial in supporting progression in the world. The features are lovely and includes a ramp. The wheelchair is sturdy with working breaks on each wheel. Barbie has flexible joints so she can be manipulated to wheel the chair. The casual, yet stylish clothes are a welcomed feature.
