Looks appealing. Bold look

I bought this for my remodeled kitchen. Looks bold, stunning and unique design. Functionality wise, it is not soft flow. When you rinse a pot, water splashes all over sink and countertop like a regular faucet. Not sure that's how it functions or defective. Bit different from my earlier one. Please advice.
