The directions didn't match my opener

So...the provided directions on syncing the new remote to my older opener didn't "sync"; my opener was nothing like shown in the directions, no blue/purple lights, etc. But there was a difficult to see little button on the back of the opener that activated a blinking red light. I kept pushing that and hitting the clicker button simultaneously and somehow it all magically began working. Perhaps the company genie was there, invisibly, to help. It's all good.

Easy to program! Clear instructions

We purchased our Genie garage door in 2002 and it's still going strong. However, remotes get lost so I got a new remote. Very easy to program by simply removing the light protector and pressing the learn code button, as directed in the instructions. Only problem was that the battery that came with the new remote was dead. Easy fix. Hey, if grandmother can do this, so can you!
