Replace Ionization Detector in Travel Trailer

This Smoke Detector is perfect for the small confines of a travel trailer! I replaced the Ionization Type Detector provided by the Trailer Manufacturer and installed this Photoelectric Detector. Now you can cook in the trailer without setting off the alarm. This is the same size as original detector and mounted using the same holes.

iT'S A DECENT DETECTOR

I ordered 2 of these and 2 ionization detectors from another source. This Kidde Photoelectric P9040 is a decent unit. However like some other reviewers mentioned it has a habit of going off when opening the oven door in the kitchen or cooking something even slightly smoky on top of the stove. When it goes off it's a pain, but what we now try to do is take it out of it's holder and take it to another room until after cooking. To be frank I would rather put up with the occasional annoyance of this happening and know that it will go off in an actual fire. So I don't want to bad mouth it. If it didn't go off when cooking I would have given it 5 stars.
