It works/fixed the problem but at CRAZY HIGH price

I only needed to replace the solenoid (which is a poor design because if it had a removable/cleanable filter for debris would not have needed replacement) however this is only sold with other parts attached in a larger unit. Consequently, a lot of waste materials that were just thrown away. Poor design overall but unless the entire faucet is replaced, there is no other choice but to pay this crazy price for just a small solenoid unit. Wonder if Delta's poor design is to support high prices on repair/replacement parts?
