Create sculptures, stamped impressions, beads and more—without the need for kiln or oven! This fine, natural earth clay is smoother, finer and less sticky than traditional clay and air-dries to a hard solid. It's easy to use with traditional modeling techniques such as pinch, coil, slab and scoring. For an even softer sculpting medium, add a bit of water. Paint clay creations with tempera, acrylic or watercolors when dry.

Directions
Instructions
While Clay is Wet: Add water to soften or join pieces. Works with traditional techniques (coil, slab, pinch, score-and-weld). Use rubber stamps or textured materials to make impressions. Press beads, small stones or other decorative items directly into clay. Pieces greater than 1/4 inches thick are more durable and less fragile than thinner pieces. When Clay is Dry: Large, thick pieces may be carved with clay tools (use adult supervision). Thoroughly dry pieces may be painted with tempera, acrylic or watercolor. Drying time for a project is generally 2-3 days, depending on size and thickness of the sculpture. Please retain package for future reference. Washing & Care Information: Crayola Air-Dry Clay colors contain colorants that may stain. Store unused clay in an airtight container. Do not store clay to which water has been added. Do not allow finished pieces to come into contact with food or liquids.

Love this clay!!
I used this to make a terra cotta gingerbread house. This clay is everything I hoped for. Yes, it developed some cracks as the pieces dried but I filled those in by making a slurry. The cracking wasn't bad though. Once dried %26 assembles by Gingerbread house is loved by all. 2.5 lbs of clay is a lot of clay so I'm making gingerbread people ornaments now.

Warning I love clay already!
This little bucket of goodness arrived at my house and I admit I was excited. My 5year old granddaughter was confused about what it actually was. She thought is was regular dough that you play with and then I explained she could make a masterpiece for her Mommy or Daddy for Valentines Day and paint it and she was stoked- maybe too stoked. We started with rolling snakes and balls for using for flat bottom jars. Easy Peasy . We played with this clay for about 2 hours and then left the creations to dry. Things to understand: this clay discolors your hands and probably clothing but washes off with warm water and soap- I do all of our craft at a big glass table and put wax paper under the clay so we could move the art to dry with little damage- we also have aprons just for art projects. I would highly recommend these precautions with your little artist too. Just be aware, this clay takes serial days to dry and can be painted after and then dried again for several days for a beautiful lasting project. This is a Win Win for Mimi ! I will buy again and again.
