I bought this clay to make a few candle holders as christmas gift and at first i thought oh it doesn't look that big, but it was a good size its about as big as a country crock butter lub. The clay dried quick, with only two problems the clays' die comes off on your hand so just be careful and secondly if your going to paint over it you'll need a few layers. BUY THIS CLAY YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!!

I bought this to make a few gift. It dries quick and is decently solid. It does get brittle but so does any clay that isn't fired. Holds paint better than expected. I bought two...one for me and one to give to my sister. 2.5# each is quite a bit. I haven't put a dent in it and I have finished all of my projects. Would recommend to anyone who asks!-zac

My 10 year old daughter loves this stuff. It's pretty fun to just watch her create what she wants. The terra cotta is a great natural looking color and like with most clays they tend to strain the skin a bit and I'd you're not careful other items as well. Since I've worked with many clays, ceramics, and paints this doesn't bother me one bit. But for the "clean freaks" this may cause a degree of distress that their child may actually get their hands dirty doing something productive and exciting for once. This is not recommended if you have white carpet and look for art products that only color the special paper. Next time I think I'll order a larger tub!
