DEWALT (DWMT75049) Mechanics Tool Set, 192-Piece

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Dewalt 192 piece mechanics tool set to upgrade from my decades old sockets that were just not grabbing hold of bolt heads any more. My first impression of the Dewalt rachets and sockets, when I opened the case was “This is High Quality!”. The 3 ratchets in the set, 1/2” 3/8” and 1/4”, along with the sockets, were all very well chromed and polished. The smooth clean surfaces will make cleaning much simpler, after I work on my truck, or use it around dirty job sites. When I grab hold of the ratchet handles, they fit comfortably in my hand, and I could grab the tool much better, thanks to the wider width of the handle area. All of the sockets are 6-point which will mean no slippage at all, even when I tighten those partly rounded heads. And the nice thing about this set, is each of the ratchets have their own complete assortment of socket sizes, large number of extensions, and adapters. I used the set to removed several stubborn bolts on a job, where my old 16-point sockets would not grab any more. The sockets were sized very accurately to the bolt head, and there was no play once put on the bolt. It went on/off the bolt head quite smoothly. The ratchet mechanism was also very smooth with the large number of teeth build into the ratchet assembly. I also used the set to assemble a new stationary bandsaw, and large garden cart, and having this set made tightening the assorted bolts much easier. Overall, I am very impressed with this set, and would recommend this without any question. This is a Quality tool, build to last, and easy to use and maintain. Two Thumbs Up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 192 piece Mechanics tool set from Dewalt is probably the most versatile and best equipped set on the market. Ever since having the set at my disposal I never knew how important it is in the construction industry as well for its intended trade. I'm a contractor and a painter by trade but I work in just about anything if I'm knowledgeable. Examples of it's use are removing nuts in my case to get to certain areas to sand. I had to remove safety studs to get to areas where an orbital wouldn't work. With the multiple sizes included in the set I was able to figure out which one was the right fit and have it don't quick and easy. Another example, is its intended use like removing an intake manifold. This was not the use I wanted it for but this set made my life so much easier. My work van had a major fix needed and removing the manifold with the help of a friend and the help of the Dewalt set made it a breeze. This set honestly is the best set on the market. It comes with everything a mechanic needs and everything a tradesman/tradeswoman needs to get the job done right. It's made well and you can feel it. The attachments lock on well, the ratchets are heavy and not flimsy, the 10mm is there lol. If taken care of this set is going to last you years possibly a hand down to your son/daughter if they are into for hands on work. PS. If you are an apprentice looking for a set go Dewalt and get the 192 set. It'll have everything you needed to get started. Don't let guys borrow your set... the 10mm will get lost.
