I purchased these because they are individual units so i could arrange exactly where I want in a tree, but they came with no instructions. I initially thought they were all defective until I realized they are light detecting and automatically go on/off when the solar panel detects light/darkness which is fine but wasn't in the product description…and there's no instructions. I suspect the battery needs to be fully charged by wire before relying on solar because with just solar charging they come on at dusk and last less than an hour. Unfortunately I did not discover this until after I hung them and returned the ladder I rented to get them high in the tree….because there are no instructions.
