I have a large living room and it cools it off quickly,and also stays very cold in the room. Excellent air conditioner I would recommend it very highly.

I researched several AC brands before deciding on The Black and Decker 14,300. I believe the price and size is right for my application. I know it's not made in the US, but some Asian country. But that's the world in which we live. Hope Mr. Trump can do something about more products being made in the Good 'ol USA - but that's another matter. I'm using the ac in my my 2 car garage. It's close to 100 degrees in there during the early afternoon until late in the evening. Going to set a timer so it'll come on at 12:30 pm and shut off at 9pm and see how that works out as far as the electric bill goes. Hoping the bill doesn't eat my lunch! I like working in the garage on projects; but not enought to deal with the Kansas 100 degree temps and the humidity that goes with it. After I got it mounted with the enclosed parts, I plugged it in and and away it went. It really puts out the AC. Unable to comment on how loud it is, since it is in a garage with a fan running constanly to circulate the air along with all the other noise. I've had other window ac's in the past. They last a couple of years. I purchased the 3 year extended warranty on this one. Hoping it lasts much longer then that. I recommend it and give it 5 stars.
